Liberal National Party Leader Deb Frecklington said she will ban union propaganda from Queensland schools if successful at the next state election.

“Party politics has no place in Queensland schools and union propaganda definitely doesn’t,” Ms Frecklington said.

“Students go to school to learn important life skills. Our schools must not be an environment for Labor Party indoctrination.

“I will always call out bullying behaviour and the unions have form. Annastacia Palaszczuk is never going to stand up to the unions, which own her Labor government lock, stock and barrel.

“Friday is the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. Some union behaviour is appalling, disgusting, and has no place near children.

“Last year CFMEU protesters at the Oaky North mine allegedly threatened to rape children and physically punish people who did not support their cause.

“I will step up and protect children in Queensland schools from the unions.”

Shadow Minister for Education Jarrod Bleijie said the union control over the Palaszczuk Government was concerning.

“This is a government run by the unions for the unions,” Mr Bleijie said.

“Our kids should be learning how to read and write, and not how to be militant unionists.

“The fact unions think they can blatantly bring campaign material into Queensland schools shows how much control they have over Annastacia Palaszczuk’s government.

“Only an LNP government will protect our kids from union propaganda.”
