Labor imposes more hardship on fishermen
The Palaszczuk Labor government last night steamrolled through the parliament their unfair fishing regulations which will cost local jobs, devastate hundreds of family-owned commercial fishers and will take the fun out of recreational fishing.
The LNP supports a sustainable fishing industry but Labor hasn’t got the balance right and the consultation process has been a sham.
Recreational fishers now face a reduction in the total take of mud crabs, new limits for blue swimmer crabs and a decrease in the possession limit for pippis.
Labor’s regulations which threaten jobs in the commercial fishing industry and increase the cost of seafood for Queensland consumers.
