I’m proud to announce that the electorate will share in $197,596.99 worth of grant funding awarded through round 100 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

This time 7 organisations received grants.

  • Football Hervey Bay $35,000.00 for field upgrades & irrigation
  • Fraser Lions Club $6,809.20 to purchase Choral Risers
  • Meals on Wheels – Fraser Community $34,645.00 to purchase blast chiller
  • Rally For A Cause Inc $26,000.00 to purchase cold room bbq trailer package
  • Sunshine Coast First Aid Volunteers $33,150.00 to purchase medical equipment & training
  • Urangan Bowls Club $29,575.79 to upgrade lighting system
  • Volunteer Marine Rescue $32,417.00 to purchase radio broadcasting equipment

The money will make a huge difference to the successful local groups.

Non-profit clubs or organisations can apply for the next round of grants.  To apply visit www.justice.qld.gov.au/grants so be sure to get your applications in a get our fair share of the gambling revenue back in Hervey Bay.
