Dental waiting lists reduced across the Wide Bay

THE WIDE Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) dental waiting list for public oral health care was slashed by 30 per cent between February and December 2013. Health Minister Lawrence Springborg said more than 2,700 vouchers were issued and claimed across the WBHHS, giving patients access to dental care they so desperately needed. “Vouchers were sent at the discretion of WBHHS, primarily to people who had been on public dental waiting lists for long periods, or to those requiring urgent care,” Mr Springborg said. “Between February and December 2013 the total number of people on the waiting list fell from […]
